m: So Angry James, what are you angry about?
J: are you sure you want to be interviewing me and not yourself? Aren't you the frustrated angry writer?
m: sure, sure, but i was thinking if I could "channel" you I'd be closer to having a product.
J: oh well... i mean very well... i mean whatever...
m: ok so let's start with voice and politics. maybe that east germany comment?
j: well i merely mentioned that i feel like i live in east germany. I mean everyone i talk to is so, well, so worried about everything and so quick to make judgments
m: why do you care?
j: well i've always been a social and polite person. a party-goer if you will. plus, i sort of harbor at least partly an old school notion that people don't deserve access to my inner thoughts.
m: but it frustrates you? if you don't be all you can be as the saying goes. why don't you try saying what you're mad about?
